New Feature: Similar Findings

We’re excited to announce the launch of Similar Findings, a powerful new feature designed to increase visibility, address risks at scale, and boost productivity for AppSec teams and developers.

🔍 What is the ‘Similar Findings’ feature?

The Similar Findings feature introduces a new tab in the findings details panel within Arnica, displaying findings that share key characteristics in the same repository. When you review a finding, you’ll also see related issues across your source code repository, helping you quickly understand and address risks at scale.  

This allows users to quickly see related findings and take bulk actions to resolve them more efficiently. The Similar Findings feature adds a new tab to the Findings Detail Panel, automatically grouping security findings that share similar characteristics—such as vulnerabilities in the same package and version within a repository, or SAST or IaC findings identified by the same rule.

A prominent use case for Similar Findings is to identify the status of similar findings. For example, if most instances of similar findings are automatically resolved, it means that code fixes were deployed, and it should be relatively straight forward to make the code change by observing other code changes. On the other hand, if the similar findings are dismissed, the dismissal reason can be viewed across all findings in the same view to determine if this finding instance needs to be dismissed as well.
